The Tiny Parks Project

A look at Manhattan's smallest public parks

Scattered around New York City, you'll find the smallest of public spaces—an effort by the city to bring green to every available sliver of vacant land. We discovered that each park had an amazing story to tell — both historically and visually, so we embarked on several projects to try and capture their story.

Seeing through trees...making the parks accessible.

We wanted these great places to be accessible to anyone who wanted to find them, so we photographed each and collected them in a booklet that told the story of each park— and provided location information.
